How To Have A Great Day In Just 4 Easy Steps
"Uggghhh. I hate waking up in the morning."
"How can I wake up on the right side of the bed tomorrow?"
"I want to know how to get thru a whole day without negativity or bad stuff happening."
"Is it really possible to get out of bad and have consecutive good days in a row?"
It's very easy to get caught up in the negativity in your mind and of people around you.
However, if you can implement these four little steps by answering the questions, you'll find yourself having a great day that will rub off on those around you.
What are you going to do differently to wake up with a smile on your face?
How many of us wake up and groan at the thought of the day ahead? Is that any way to start a great day? Tomorrow morning try doing something a completely different. Here are several examples of how to start a great day off right:
When do you find yourself feeling pissed off, what will you now do to keep your great day intact?
Anytime you feel yourself getting anxious, upset, or angry with people as you go through your great day, flash a bright red stop sign in your head. Stop for a moment to take a deep breath, relax, center yourself, and then carry on. You'll feel a lot less annoyed and your great day will still be intact. Both you and the person who agitated you will benefit.
Which chores are you going to treat as opportunities to have a great day?
If your day seems to consist of endless cooking, cleaning, working, grocery shopping, and picking up the kids, escape the perceived head-banging drudgery and take advantage of the opportunity each one of these chores can give you.
Are you up for being nice, friendly and caring?
This last step to having a great day is so simple, yet so many people are just too busy to even think about it. Being nice is as easy as smiling at the bus driver or office security guard in the morning, saying "hello" to the person you buy your coffee from, or using the words "thank you" at least a half a dozen times a day.
None of these tips will cost you anything in terms of money or time.
It's easier on your face if you smile rather than frown; it's easier to get through a day feeling content and happy. And if you share your happy mood, just imagine what a wonderful gift that can be for those around you!
Having a great day doesn't have to be that hard. Just remember that it's the simple things in life that create the most joy in both yourself and others.
If you start your day preparing to have a good one, your day will blossom just as you do. The bonus is that the smile on your face will remind at least one person you come across in your day that they can take the time to smile too.
Now, go out and have a great day!
